Ingredient of the Month #3: Rhubarb

I love rhubarb. Paul loves rhubarb. So I thought I'd start the year off with an ingredient that we'd love to experiment with. I've even found a recipe for rhubarb bread that Paul might be able to try.

Watch this space for some interesting rhubarb creations.

I know I was slack in December and didn't have an ingredient. It's not that I fell off the wagon as such, but because of all the Christmas baking and preparations I was doing, I decided not to give myself any more kitchen challenges.

  2. Oooh I've never tried rhubarb before! Looking forward to seeing your amazing creations! Ps. I ALWAYS leave comments on your blog but miss the part where I have to prove I'm not a robot so you never get them. =( New Years Res - Stop doing that! haha

  4. I'm not a rhubarb fan. Too much of Nans stewed rhubarb and apple *shudder*. Though I might like the recipe for rhubarb bread. Is it a bread-y bread or a cake-y bread?

  5. I'm sure it was a bread-y bread, but I forgot to save the recipe and now I can't find it again. There are lots of cake-y ones, but hopefully I'll find this one before the month is over.

  6. I like rhubarb, too. I won't be making anything rhubarb with you, though, because it is not in season here. I have no idea where I'd even find it if price were no obstacle.

  7. That's okay, Angela. Perhaps when it's in season, you could post a recipe or two :)
