It's been very hot here today. Our Indoor/Outdoor thermometer said that it reached 51 degrees Celcius outside in the sun today. Fortunately it only got to 25 inside. Thank goodness for air conditioning and double glazing!
The perfect food for such hot weather is BBQ, so I whipped up some Persian Lamb Kebabs from Saraban by Greg and Lucy Malouf and a chickpea salad. YUM!
And the food was just fantastic, so very, very tasty!

Wow! I converted that to Fahrenheit to give it meaning to me, and I am stunned. You must be in a desert! Just over 40 °C is the hottest outdoor temperature I've ever experienced, and it was twice last summer and I thought it horrid.

@Angela, I think the heat was magnified in our courtyard because of the 2 brick walls either side. It was cooler in the shade and I think the recorded maximum for Melbourne was around 40 degrees.
