Many hands make light work

We had yet more help with the painting this weekend. Paul's parents came to visit. We'd booked tickets to see West Side Story at the beginning of the year, with absolutely no inkling that we'd be attempting to get a new house ready to move in to, so we were very fortunate to discover that Paul's parents were happy to lend a hand with the painting while they were here.

Over the weekend we painted the ceiling, skirting and doors downstairs, so that's all finished now. We also painted most of the hallway and stairs and much of the master bedroom. There's still so much to be done, but it's at a point where we can do little bits at a time while we're living there.

We've just got back from a fabulous dinner in Fitzroy, at Old Kingdom. We had the Peking Duck and it was fabulous. 3 courses of duck - pancakes, stirfry and soup - all of them delicious. I highly recommend it.

Here are some more photos of the progress on the house.

We move in on Friday and my parents are coming over to help out with that. We certainly have been very lucky to have so many people willing to help us out.

  1. I'm glad you've had so much help. I'm looking forward to the pictures you take once it's done.
