Breaking the Rules

Paul and I have been doing very well eating at the dinner table and we're both enjoying it. Well, I'm enjoying it, at least.

Tonight however, we broke the rules. I blanked out the weekend in the calendar so we didn't have any plans and could have a relaxing one. As a result we got take away pizza for dinner and automatically ate it whilst watching a movie. About halfway through the pizza I remembered my goal. Oops! Well, there wasn't much we could do about it then, so we decided it was a halfway treat.

We deserve a bit of a treat since we've had some pretty good news lately. Paul and I now own a very small slice of Brunswick and are about to get back into debt. The house settles on 3rd August, but we'll still be renting here until the end of August, so we've got time to get in there and paint etc. I think both of us are looking forward to having a place that we can do what we like to again. I'm looking forward to getting our art back up on the walls.

We don't have any pics of the house, but when we can get into it, I'll take some photos and then hopefully I can do before and after shots.

  2. Yay! Finally our own place. Don't ahve to fret when a dog decides to say hello by scratching the back of the door. We can put our own holes in our own walls and hang our paintings again ... and we are not going to have to go through a fourth house sale in 3 years. We can settle, and feel settled. I like!

  3. We never eat pizza at the table. When we stayed with friends in Berlin they served us take away pizza at the dining table with knives and forks. I'd never seen anyone eat a pizza with cutlery before :-)

Brilliant news about your new home. I'm looking forward to seeing photos. Do you have your furniture back or is the house you're living in still styled for potential buyers?

  4. We have all of our own furniture back now, fortunately. It's so much nicer living with your own stuff, even if it isn't trendy. ;)
