Coffin Bay 2010: Boats

After the Sydney photos I think everyone's already aware that I'm a big fan of boats. So it's no real surprise that I took loads of photos of them.

(that's the yacht club in the background where Paul and I had dinner one night)


(This is the boat that Dad and Megs are going to do their fishing charter on)

This is an oyster boat. It has a super shallow hull and really powerful engines. It's going over quite shallow water in this photo. Most boats wouldn't go that shallow and certainly not at that speed. They're the oyster trays on the front of the boat.

We came across these on our walk

And these ones came right up to the house one morning. I didn't have much time to adjust the settings on the camera before they were disturbed by passers by, so it's not the best pic.

We saw loads of dolphins out on the boat, but it's so hard to get a good shot...

and trust me, this lump is a seal.


Here's one of Paulie's friends - a sting ray! So awesome to watch in the water. Check out the wings cutting through the surface.
